Project Description

Clear and meaningful presentation of flow data is a difficult and often overlooked aspect of CFD studies. This project will a directed effort to generate a post-processing pipeline for the data generated by CFD simulations of a shock turbulent boundary layer interaction (STBLI). It is expected that the student will perform a literature review for the STBLI. They will then develop, test and refine this post-processing pipeline and participate in the analysis of the flow data.

Your Profile

• Studies in computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering
• Programming (Experience with Python preferred, other languages acceptable)
• Understanding of and interest in turbulent flow physics
• Experience with and/or strong interest in Computational fluid dynamics
